Last updated: April 16, 2026
1. Company Information
ExpertLive is operated by ABJB Investments LLC, a Texas limited liability company, doing business as ExpertLive and ExpertLive.app (“ExpertLive,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, creating an account, booking or providing Calls, submitting Reviews or other Feedback, making or receiving payments, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and any policies referenced in these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Platform.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18, have legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding agreement, and will comply with applicable laws.
You may not use the Platform if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable trade, sanctions, or export-control laws.
4. Definitions

“Platform” or “Services” means ExpertLive’s technology marketplace used to discover Experts, create Bookings, facilitate payment, and participate in one-on-one video Calls.
“User” means any person or entity using the Platform.
“Expert” means an independent third party who offers and provides services through the Platform.
“Call” means a scheduled one-on-one video consultation session between a User and an Expert.
“Booking” means the reservation of a Call at a scheduled date and time through the Platform.
“Content” means information submitted through the Platform, including Reviews, ratings, Feedback, support submissions, and account/profile information.
“Feedback” or “Reviews” means post-session ratings, written comments, and public or private feedback submitted by Users or Experts, where applicable.
5. Description of the Platform
ExpertLive provides a technology marketplace that enables Users to discover Experts, schedule Bookings, facilitate payment, and participate in one-on-one video Calls.
ExpertLive is not the provider of the underlying expert services and does not provide the substantive advice shared in Calls. Experts control the substance, scope, and delivery of their own services, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
6. Platform Role; No Agency; No Endorsement
ExpertLive is a venue and technology intermediary. Experts are independent service providers and independent third parties, and are not employees, agents, partners, joint venturers, representatives, or delegates of ExpertLive.
ExpertLive is not a staffing agency, professional services firm, or referral agency, and does not direct or control the substance of Expert advice.
ExpertLive does not endorse, warrant, or guarantee any Expert, profile, credential claim, service, advice, availability, or outcome. A listing or profile presence on the Platform is not a guarantee of quality, qualification, legality, suitability, or fitness for any particular purpose.
7. No Professional Advice; No Professional Relationship
ExpertLive does not provide legal, medical, mental health, financial, tax, or other regulated professional advice.
Use of the Platform does not create an attorney-client, doctor-patient, therapist-client, fiduciary, advisory, or similar protected professional relationship with ExpertLive.
Any relationship that may arise from a Call is solely between the User and the Expert, not with ExpertLive.
The Platform is not intended for emergencies or crisis situations. If you need emergency help, contact appropriate emergency services immediately.
8. Accounts, Access, and Security
You are responsible for account credentials and all activities under your account. You may not share accounts, impersonate others, or create accounts using false or misleading identity information.
You must keep your account, contact, and payment information current and accurate. ExpertLive may suspend, restrict, or require additional verification if account integrity is compromised or reasonably suspected to be compromised.
9. User and Expert Responsibilities
Users must describe requested topics accurately, act lawfully and respectfully, and use the Platform in good faith. Topic requests are expected to remain the main focus of booked Calls.
Experts must represent their experience truthfully, act lawfully and professionally, stay reasonably aligned to the booked topic, and comply with Platform rules.
Experts are responsible for determining whether any requested topic is lawful, appropriate, ethical, safe, and within their own comfort and competence to address.
Experts are also responsible for completing required payout onboarding and keeping payout and tax information accurate and current in accordance with Section 11.
Some requests may be declined or narrowed due to confidentiality, NDA obligations, legal restrictions, ethical obligations, or other professional constraints.
10. Communications and Notices
You consent to receive electronic communications from ExpertLive, including by email and in-Platform notice, regarding account activity, Bookings, transactions, security, support matters, service announcements, and updates to these Terms.
You are responsible for maintaining a valid and current email address and for reviewing communications sent through your account contact channels.
11. Payments, Authorizations, Refunds, Chargebacks, and Payouts
Experts set their own prices on the Platform. ExpertLive may use third-party payment providers (including Stripe) to process User charges and Expert payouts.
To receive payouts, Experts must complete any required payment processor onboarding and compliance steps (currently through Stripe), which may include identity verification, tax information collection, and payout account setup. ExpertLive may condition payout eligibility, booking eligibility, or public listing eligibility on completion of required payment-processor onboarding and compliance requirements.
Experts are responsible for providing and maintaining accurate, complete, and current payout and tax information, and for their own tax compliance, filings, reporting, and payment obligations. Tax reporting documents, when applicable, may be made available through Stripe or the applicable payout account experience. ExpertLive does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice.
You authorize ExpertLive and its payment processors to place temporary authorizations or holds and to capture charges in accordance with Platform billing logic and applicable law.
ExpertLive will place a temporary authorization on a payment method upon a completed booking request, and may later capture charges if the Booking becomes billable under cancellation, no-show, session-completion, or dispute rules.
Cancellation and no-show outcomes may be determined using objective platform records, including booking status history, timestamps, join/presence/session events, support history, reviews/feedback, account history, payment/dispute data, and operational logs.
Completed sessions are not automatically refundable solely because a User dislikes the advice or outcome. Where permitted by law, ExpertLive may issue full refunds, reschedule support, or deny requests in its discretion.
Abusive chargebacks, payment abuse, and refund abuse are prohibited. ExpertLive may contest chargebacks and submit relevant records to processors or financial institutions.
ExpertLive may delay, withhold, deny, reverse, offset, claw back, or place in reserve Expert payouts where reasonably necessary for refunds, disputes, chargebacks, fraud, abuse, fake bookings, collusion, policy violations, trust and safety concerns, legal compliance, or platform protection.
Any reverse payout actions will be applied to the booking related to the issue and do not necessarily apply to unrelated bookings.
Payout timing is based on processor timing, account-verification status, compliance reviews, disputes, and fraud or risk investigation.
Where permitted by law, ExpertLive may recover amounts owed to ExpertLive by netting or offsetting those amounts against current or future payouts.
12. Cancellation, No-Show, and Dispute Review
ExpertLive applies a single cancellation window: if the User cancels at least 60 minutes before scheduled start time, the User receives a full refund or authorization release. If the User cancels less than 60 minutes before scheduled start, or after scheduled start, the Booking is non-refundable and charged in full.
If the Expert cancels at any time, the User receives a full refund or authorization release. If the Expert does not join within the applicable no-show grace period, the User receives a full refund or authorization release. If the User does not join within the applicable no-show grace period, the Booking is non-refundable and may be charged in full. ExpertLive determines no-show outcomes using available platform records, including timestamps and join/presence events.
ExpertLive may review disputes using available platform records, including booking history, timestamps, join and presence events, support records, payment disputes, and related logs.
Because Calls are not recorded, ExpertLive is not able to resolve every factual disagreement about what was said during a Call. ExpertLive may make final platform decisions on billing, refund, payout, and enforcement outcomes based on available records.
13. Reviews, Feedback, and Submitted Content
Users and Experts may submit Reviews, ratings, private feedback, and support submissions. Such materials are “Content” under these Terms.
Reviews and feedback must be honest, lawful, and non-defamatory, and may not be manipulated through coercion, fake transactions, or coordinated abuse.
Some feedback may be public-facing, and some may remain private for operational, trust, safety, and enforcement use.
You grant ExpertLive a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, use, and process Content you submit solely for operating and improving the Platform, customer support, trust and safety, fraud prevention, dispute review, analytics, and legal compliance.
ExpertLive may remove, decline to publish, or limit visibility of Content that violates these Terms or applicable policies.
14. No Recording or Transcription
ExpertLive does not record, transcribe, or store Call content.
Users may not record or transcribe Calls unless all necessary party consents are obtained and all applicable laws and platform rules are followed. Unauthorized recording or transcription is prohibited and may result in enforcement action.
15. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use the Platform to engage in unlawful conduct, harassment, threats, hate, sexual exploitation, extortion, fraud, scams, deception, impersonation, false credentials, account sharing, payment abuse, chargeback abuse, fake bookings, collusion, or privacy violations.
You may not divert transactions off-platform to avoid Platform fees or evade enforcement; record calls without authorization; scrape or harvest data; reverse engineer the Platform; perform unauthorized security testing; introduce malware; send spam; abuse automation; infringe intellectual property or privacy rights; misuse review or support systems; or attempt to discover, infer, or game internal trust, strike, or enforcement thresholds.
For privacy, trust, and payment clarity, Users and Experts should keep communication, scheduling, and payment on ExpertLive. Unless ExpertLive explicitly authorizes a specific workflow, you may not use the Platform to exchange direct contact details, meeting links, social handles, or payment handles for the purpose of moving sessions or payment off-platform.
16. Trust, Safety, Investigations, and Enforcement
ExpertLive may investigate complaints, low-rated sessions, refund requests, chargebacks, suspicious bookings, collusion indicators, fraud signals, quality concerns, identity concerns, abuse reports, and other possible policy violations.
Investigations may use platform records and payment-processor or third-party risk signals where available.
ExpertLive may take actions including warnings, listing suppression, feature limitations, booking restrictions, refund decisions, manual billing-review holds before settlement, payout reversals, reserve requirements, suspension, termination, or legal reporting where appropriate.
ExpertLive is not required to disclose internal trust scores, strike counts, monitoring methods, or enforcement thresholds.
17. Intellectual Property and Platform Rights
As between you and ExpertLive, ExpertLive owns the Platform and related software, design, text, branding, trademarks, service marks, and other content (excluding user-submitted Content).
Subject to these Terms, ExpertLive grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Platform for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, frame, mirror, scrape, reverse engineer, create derivative works from, build competing datasets from, or otherwise misuse the Platform or ExpertLive marks without prior written permission.
18. Third-Party Services
The Platform may rely on third-party providers, including payment processors, video technology providers, authentication/identity providers, hosting providers, and infrastructure vendors.
Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers’ terms and privacy policies. ExpertLive is not responsible for third-party outages, acts, omissions, errors, policy changes, or failures outside ExpertLive’s reasonable control.
19. Suspension and Termination
ExpertLive may suspend, restrict, delist, or terminate any account, listing, Booking access, payout access, or Platform access where reasonably necessary for policy compliance, trust and safety, legal obligations, fraud prevention, financial risk management, or operational integrity.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including payment obligations, dispute and enforcement provisions, intellectual property terms, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law/forum, and miscellaneous terms.
20. Warranty Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, title, and quiet enjoyment.
ExpertLive does not warrant uninterrupted availability, security, accuracy, reliability, legality, quality, suitability, or outcomes. ExpertLive does not guarantee that Experts will be available, complete Calls, or meet expectations, and does not guarantee that all defects will be corrected.
21. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExpertLive and its officers, directors, members, employees, and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill, arising out of or related to the Platform, these Terms, or any interactions between Users and Experts.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ExpertLive’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform will not exceed the greater of: (a) amounts paid to ExpertLive in connection with the specific claim during the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) $100 USD.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
22. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ExpertLive and its officers, directors, members, employees, and affiliates from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Platform; (b) your breach of these Terms; (c) your Content; (d) your dispute with another User or Expert; (e) your violation of law; or (f) claims that your Content or conduct infringes or misappropriates third-party rights.
23. Governing Law and Forum
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Subject to applicable law, exclusive jurisdiction and venue for all disputes will be the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
24. Changes to These Terms
ExpertLive may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page, and material changes may be communicated by email or through the Platform where appropriate. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
25. Miscellaneous
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect. Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without ExpertLive’s prior written consent. ExpertLive may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets.
Except as expressly stated, these Terms do not create third-party beneficiary rights. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ExpertLive regarding the Platform and supersede prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
ExpertLive will not be liable for delay or failure to perform due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including failures of third-party systems, internet or infrastructure outages, labor disputes, natural disasters, government actions, or force majeure events.
Appendix A: Arbitration and Class Action Waiver
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform may be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by a mutually agreed provider. The parties waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action, to the extent permitted by law. Either party may seek temporary injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect rights pending arbitration.
